Paying tribute to a decade marked by pivotal innovations in the synthesizer and its ubiquity in popular music, Berklee College of Music instructor Christian Li has created a sample collection of original sound design with iconic 80s synths including the Yamaha DX-7, Prophet 6, Roland SH-101, and the Yamaha CS1. Echoing the sonic fabric of electro, prog rock, synth pop and beyond, 80s Analog Synth is a no-nonsense, utilitarian toolkit bringing historic analog synthesis to a sample-based producer’s fingertips.
