我们在德克萨斯州奥斯汀的Orb工作室录制了法国号和长号的传统位置。除了完成铜管包(无大号)的明显愿望之外，我们还想看看这种以性能为导向的采样风格如何在完整的上下文中发挥作用。
就像小号一样，所有的样本都是从精心策划的短语中提取出来的，并被编程为充分利用这些表演。由此产生的流畅性使其本身充满活力，旋律优美的写作-所有这些都不需要任何按键切换。只要调整速度;柔音适用于短语中较快的音符，硬音适用于较长的“落地”音符。Modwheel的动态。就是这样!
喇叭和骨头也是根据口味手工调音的，保留了重要的音调偏差，当在各自的部分和铜管乐器中演奏和弦/线条时，这些偏差真正揭示了它们的实用性。

Orb Horns and Bones is the counterpart to our proof-of-concept brass library, Orb Trumpets.
We recorded the French horns and trombones in their traditional positions in the same space at Orb Studios in Austin, Texas. Aside from the obvious desire to complete the brass package (sans tuba), we wanted to see how this performance-oriented style of sampling would play out in full context.
Like the trumpets, all the samples were extracted from curated phrases and programmed to take full advantage of those performances. The resulting fluidity lends itself to energetic, melodic writing — all without any keyswitching. Just adjust the velocity; soft for quicker notes within a phrase and hard for longer “landing” notes. Modwheel for dynamics. That’s it!
The horns and bones were also hand-tuned to taste, preserving important intonation biases that really reveal their utility when playing chords/lines in context within their respective sections and with their brass counterparts.
