GateMate is an innovative approach to a noise gate. A pair of plugins (Pre and Post) makes it possible to clean up the sound like never before.
The Noise Gate That Gets It Right
Noise gates are supposed to solve a simple problem, not create new ones or feel like a compromise. We wanted better. We spent months perfecting a noise gate that doesn’t choke your tone, responds naturally to your playing, and handles all the dirt and dynamics. The result? A gate that just works. No gimmicks—just performance you can rely on.
GateMate’s main role is to provide a complete noise cancellation solution. To do this, you will find two GateMate Pre and GateMate Post modules. One is placed upstream of your favorite amp and baffle simulator, and the second is placed after. GateMate Pre cleans the incoming DI signal, and collects the data necessary for the proper functioning of GateMate Post, which refines the latest finishes.
On the GateMate Pre interface, you have a control of the amount of noise reduction applied. On the GateMate Post interface, attack and release controls (which you can automate) as well as a threshold control are available. A channel selector is also on both interfaces, you will have to set it to a common channel.
