Homework: Cloud Trap & Chill Hop combines the mellow instrumental vibes of chilled hip-hop with alt-trap drum design and wavey aesthetics. Reworked melodies, jazz guitars and soft piano chops fused with darker synths, ghostly vocals and textured ambience. Discover an eclectic new spin on bedroom beats and 24/7 lofi streams.
Original compositions featuring gentle toybox motifs, kalimba plucks and classic synths were re-sampled, chopped and affected. Moody 808s and synthetic auras move the lofi sound to deeper, half speed organic trap territory.
Including a full drum kit of one shots and loops featuring detailed sound design and custom hits. Heavy saturation, unique layering and sound sculpting create alternative trap drums with the punch and knock expected, with individual character.
Created in collaboration with lofi hip hop artist and beatmaker Marc aka misc.inc. From his studio in Dresden, Germany he combines soulful chords with organic sound design and rhythmic boom bap grooves to create stories and feelings.
