So what is Steve Levine’s Digital Hot Sauce? Well it’s a little bit of extra sonic spice that you can add to your own productions. Essentially, I’ve recorded and processed the WET only signals from my various custom hardware Spring Reverb units, along with some of my vintage hardware digital FX & Reverb Units. These are combined with some of my other top secret elements to create both loops and one shots. They can be used right out the ‘box’ on their own to create ambient loops, as they are all at fixed tempos.
This would allow you to combine any of them together or creatively ‘slice and dice’ and mix them with your own loops and grooves. This effect creates nice “shadow loops”. The one shots could be imported into NI Battery for example, to create your own WET drum pad set. I’ve created a couple of demos to give you the idea and of course you can use the demos as a starting point as they are full quality. I’ve also included a few of the DRY triggers just in case you want to recreate WET/DRY loop combinations. Hopefully you will find them inspiring as you add some HOT SAUCE to your own creations.
