Introducing the Fresh Baked Breaks series by STLNDRMS – the first pack in this collection is raw and straight from the tape, giving you big, fat, and noisy drum breaks with a beautiful tape sound. This pack is not just traditional, but also experimental – with patterns ranging from house to afrobeat to abstract grooves, and even a few fills to round things out.
To achieve this authentic and weighty sound, the Fresh Baked Breaks team used a MX70 Reel to Reel tape machine and a Burl b2 bomber for conversion, passing the audio through 60’s preamps, a 70’s analog console, Neve summing, Calrec compression, and class A EQ.
